the llama has a special relationship with humans as it's often used therapeutically to assist psychological recovery, and is also used as a trek animal for holidays all over the planet as it is now often bred more abroad than in its native habitat. It is also a very hardy animal often living at altitude and has good survival characteristics.. so much symbolic value there... hope this helps? Peter.
