In memory of Les Paul (June 9, 1915 – August 13, 2009).
Les Paul died last Thursday at the age of 94 (RIP). He was a guitar and electronics mastermind. The Gibson Les Paul guitar bears his name. I was lucky to meet him back in 1992 in New Jersey. He was a very pleasant and polite person. I remember that he laughed when I told him that I was from Greece, he said, “Did you travel all the way here just to see me?” “Vaya Con Dios” was one of his early recordings. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
